HCM CITY— A wide range of books are on discount at the Summer Book Fair 2016 that opened yesterday at the HCM City Exhibition House in District 1.
More than 10 publishers, including Nhã Nam, First News, Thái Hà, Đinh Tị, Văn Việt and Trẻ (Youth) publishing houses, are taking part in the fair.
The fair features titles of various genres and subjects, including economics, education, science and technology, start-up businesses and children’s books.
Many new translated books are on display such as Hillary Clinton — Bí mật quốc gia và sự hồi sinh translated from HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump - Đã đến lúc phải cứng rắn translated from Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again.
The publishing houses are offering a discount of 20-50 per cent on all books at the fair as well as books at a fixed-price counter costing VNĐ5,000-30,000.
Alpha Books Joint Stock Company, the organiser, plans to present 5,000 children’s books to young readers.
The fair will run through Sunday. —VNS
