HÀ NỘI — Creative and trendy fashion designs by graduates from the Hà Nội-based London College for Design and Fashion Studies (LCDF) will be introduced next weekend at a fashion show and exhibition entitled "Limitless".

Fifteen graduates will showcase their collections, inspired by eco lichen dyes, Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, Russian matryoshka dolls, oriental dragon and mime.

“Visitors will be surprised at the harmony of different cultures expressed through the language of fashion,” said May Cortazzi, a lecturer at the LCDF. “The designers use various materials and techniques to produce creative outfits such as hand knits, digital printing, 3D draping and beading.”

The event will also provide an opportunity for designers to exchange ideas, meet business representatives and learn about market trends and demands.

Visitors will have a chance to learn about the study programme, from entrance through to graduation, as well as receive free consultations on personal styles for different occasions.

Designers with outstanding collections will be selected to join the fashion show of the LCDF, which will take place in London in May 2017.

The graduates’ show will take place on August 6-7 at the Hanoi Melia Hotel, 44B Lý Thường Kiệt Street, Hà Nội. — VNS
