HÀ NỘI — A new handbook was recently published, providing the public with information about coconut beverage production, and offering expert advice and practical information from plantations and nutritional benefits to production and distribution.
The 180-page Coconut Handbook, which includes a mix of general insights and technical details, draws on specialist know-how from all parts of the coconut industry.
“Việt Nam ranks eighth in the world in producing coconut products. However, due to the limited application of knowledge and technologies, the production value is still limited compared to its potential. So we hope that this guide will help producers to bring more coconut products of Việt Nam to the world,” said Robert Graves, General Director of Tetra Pak Việt Nam, a food processing and packaging solutions company, which published the book.
Việt Nam harvests about 1.2 billion coconuts every year. Bến Tre is the largest coconut-growing area of the country. — VNS
