ĐÀ NẴNG — More than 110 Overseas Vietnamese youths from countries worldwide began a four-day tour of Thừa Thiên-Huế, Quảng Nam, Quảng Ngãi and Đà Nẵng as part of ‘Việt Nam Summer Camp 2016’ on July 19-23.

The summer camp, which has been organised by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2004 will take youths on a tour around the UNESCO-recognised world heritages including Huế Monuments Complex, Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary, Hội An ancient town and the Sơn Mỹ Vestige site in Quảng Ngãi Province before visiting destinations in Đà Nẵng city.

This year’s camp, which was given the title ‘Oversea Vietnamese youths with National Cultural Heritages’, features a tour around world heritages in central Việt Nam.

The Overseas Vietnamese youth delegation will also join a series of activities in Đà Nẵng including re-planting trees for the protection of beach areas, donating books for street children’s centres and an exchange with Đà Nẵng city’s youths union.

It’s the second time that the camp has taken place in the central region and Đà Nẵng city.
