HÀ NỘI – Foreign tourists will be charmed by an unique circus show entitled Làng Tôi (My Village) at Hà Nội Opera House on July 16.
It will be held every Monday and Tuesday at 6pm, allowing the local people and tourists to enjoy one of the most successful circus performances by Vietnamese artists.
Làng Tôi is the brainchild of three artistes, Nguyễn Nhất Lý, Nguyễn Lân and Lê Ngọc Tuấn Anh. Built around Việt Nam’s typical history and culture, Làng Tôi creates a pleasant, lively and poetic journey to a typical Vietnamese village via an image familiar to every Vietnamese, bamboo trees.
During the 2009-2012 period, 300 performances of Làng Tôi were held in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, besides Egypt and Spain.
Following the global trend, Làng Tôi is planned in the form of a ‘new circus’ in which traditional circus skills are performed, supported by light effects and music to present a specific story and characters.
