HÀ NỘI — Lexus Music Night 2016 will take place for the first time at the National Convention Centre in Hà Nội tonight.

The highlight of the performance is one of the best-selling string quartets of all time, Bond.

The four members, Gay-Yee, Tania Davis, Eos Counsell and Anna Phoebe, will perform their most popular pieces that have built their fame in Classical Crossover, such as Shine, Viva, Victory, Speed, and Explosive.

Bond will bring audiences all-new experiences. Starting with classical sounds, their music will take audiences through a path of musical development up to emotional modern music, said musical director musician Quốc Trung.

In particular, this will be the first time that the distinctive sound of Bond and the vocals of talented young singer Phạm Thu Hà have ever harmonised in a unique work named Harem, said Trung. He added that the perfect harmony between the scholarly and modern music promises unforgettable emotions.

Trung said that the Bond members are women full of the energy of youth. They have not only set a new platform for entertainment in contemporary music with perfect classical crossover harmony, but have also created a space of their own in the hearts of music lovers worldwide.

"Over the years, they remain constantly creative, bringing new ensembles to the public. I think their second performance in Việt Nam not only expresses their love of Vietnamese audiences, but also our own hospitality and respect for talent," Trung said.

This will be a completely new concert because each participating artist in the programme has continued to develop their art, he said.

"The songs are new remixes, classical melodies combined with electronic music for the first time. The new combinations at the Lexus Music Night 2016 are the surprises that I want to bring to all audiences who are art lovers and in the pursuit of perfection," Trung said.

First violonist Davis said her band will try its best to join their Vietnamese musicians to record music for their audiences.

"We plan to co-operate with Vietnamese artists to produce a musical album this year," she said.

Apart from Bond, Vietnamese famous singers Thanh Lam, Mỹ Linh, Pham Thu Hà and Phúc Tiệp will bring exquisite performances backed by the Maius Philharmonic Orchestra.

The music night represents Lexus’s sincere gratitude to its customers after its two-year journey in Việt Nam. — VNS
