Binh Thuan museum displays ancient artefacts

BINH THUAN (VNS) — The local museum of the southern Binh Thuan Province has opened to visitors, exhibiting collections of precious antiques for the first time in the province.

Covering 400sq.m, the museum displays more than 1,000 antiques such as a lithophone, the statue of god Shiva and gongs. These items have been classified into seven subjects and are arranged properly for the convenience of visitors.

Nguyen Xuan Ly, general director of the museum, said the museum was preserving more than 55,000 antiques of high cultural and historical value that might be dating back to the prehistoric age. — VNS
