Festival in Ha Noi to celebrate cultural diversity

HA NOI  (VNS) — Vietnamese families and expat communities are invited to take a flavorful journey around the world at the "Traditional New Year Celebration all over the World" on Saturday.

The event, which is hosted by Family Medical Practice Viet Nam, provides audiences with a fun introduction to the diverse cultures of Ha Noi.

Scheduled for four hours, the festival features music, instruments and martial arts performance, international food samples, games and crafts activities.

Children and adults will learn about cultural heritage as they master the Korean children games of Tuho and Yut, learn teamwork in Mexican "Bingo", play the British game of "Pin the Tail on the Donkey", and design Russian reindeers, Vietnamese peach flowers and enjoy photo opportunities with international traditional costumes. Throughout the event, visitors can sample international cuisine.

"Fun and games, music, crafts and food are themes common to all new year celebrations all over the world," explain Ram Shahar, Family Medical Practice Ha Noi's Chief Operations Officer.

Family Medical Practice Ha Noi expects to turn this festival into an annual event and a popular community fundraiser for organizations that assist children and families in need.

Admission is free, event reservations are on a first come, first served basis. — VNS
