HCM CITY (VNS) — The first prize for the single photo category in the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2015 went to Dem hoa dang (Lantern Night at the Japanese-Covered Bridge) by Le Trong Khang.
Tranh dua (An Elephant Racing) by Tran Bao Hoa received the second prize and Khung troi hanh phuc (A Group Wedding Ceremony in HCM City) by Vo Quoc Thanh won third prize.
In the photo essay category, Le cap sac nguoi Dao Do Sa Pa (Red Dao Maturity Conferment Ritual) by Pham Bang won the first prize.
The second prize went to Tren dong song huyen thoai (On the Legendary River) by Tran Binh An and the third prize was awarded to Ngay Tet voi tre em H'Mong (H'Mong Children's New Year) by Tran Dao Si.
The annual contest, organised by Vietnam Heritage Magazine, received 4,740 works submitted by 573 domestic and foreign photographers.
A total of 102 photos by 71 photographers were selected for display at eight exhibitions that will be held in Binh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces, HCM City, Ha Noi and Da Nang from October 22 through the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday. —VNS
