American artist holds leather craft workshop

HCM CITY  (VNS) — US-based artist Adina Weinand will host a leather craft workshop at Saigon Outcast from September 3 to October 1.

Weinand will teach simple to advanced techniques in making leather craft, and discuss leather qualities and design. She will also demonstrate how to make leather accessories like bracelets, money holders and cellphone cases.

After graduating from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a degree in design and studio art, Wienand travelled to New York, South Korea and HCM City to work and teach. She works as a visual arts instructor at an international school and is a co-founder of Attaya, a handmade leather collective.

The workshop will be held every Thursday from 6pm to 8pm at 188/1 Nguyen Van Huong Street in District 2. Admission is VND3.9 million including all leather, material, threads, hardware and tool use.
