HCM CITY (VNS) — Five harmonica players of the Viet Nam Harmonica Orchestra (VNHO) will participate in the International Harmonica Festival to be held in Seoul between July 31 and August 2.

This is the first time Vietnamese harmonica players will be participating in an international event.

The players will compete in three events, which comprise a group ensemble with the piece entitled Bay Den Hoa Binh (Flying to the Peace) by composer Nguyen Huong Thanh; a trio ensemble with the folk piece entitled Trong Com (Small Drums) and a solo category with Chim K'Tia (K'Tia Bird) by composer Y'Son Nie.

VNHO, established in 2015 under the HCM City-based private BACH Music School, is the first of its kind. It now has 50 players. — VNS
