Graffiti workshop to open this weekend

HCM CITY (VNS)  — A Sunday graffiti workshop hosted by Vietnamese-French artist Suby One and American illustrator Frenemy will begin on Sunday at Saigon Outcast.

The three-week workshop, held on Sundays from 1- 3pm, will include three classes on basic drawing and designing for painting, letter drawing and lettering in graffiti and character design. Each workshop session will have a maximum of five students.

Suby One (Bui Ngoc Trang), a graffiti artist for 20 years, is self-taught. He moved to HCM City last year.

Frenemy, whose real name is Kristopher Kotcher, has practised graffiti and street art for 12 years, starting with traditional letter-form graffiti and more recently character street art.

Registrations for the workshop can be made at frenemylife@yahoo.com. Cost is VND900,000. The venue is located at 188/1 Nguyen Van Huong Street in District 2. — VNS
