Update: September, 06/2014 - 08:47

People march at the opening ceremony of the Mid-Autumn Festival in the northern province of Tuyen Quang last night. The annual festival was organised on the largest scale ever this year, gathering thousands of locals and tourists as well as artists from South Korea, Laos and China. Activities during the two-day event aim to promote local cultural heritage and include a parade of 88 giant lanterns in the shape of animals and legendary characters, a beauty contest, a food festival and sport competitions. — VNS Photo Quang Cuong
