German state gives scholarships to Vietnamese students

HA NOI (VNS)  — More than 200 college and university students throughout the country will receive one-year student grants of US$294 from the German State of Hessen's Ministry of Science and Arts, according to a representative from the Hessen office in Ha Noi.

The students will be selected from 50 colleagues and universities, who are gifted, in need and from remote and mountainous regions, with a priority on female students.

A ceremony will be held at the Temple of Literature this Friday, attended by Viet Nam's Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan, Hessen State Minister of Science and Arts Boris Rhein and German Ambassador to Viet Nam Jutta Frasch. — VNS
