Paris Symphony Orchestra perform to mark VN's French Year

The Paris Orchestra will perform at the Ha Noi Opera House and the HCM City Opera and Ballet Theatre.

HCM CITY (VNS)— Orchestre de Paris (Paris Orchestra) will arrive in Viet Nam ahead of two concerts in Ha Noi and HCM City, as part of the French Year in Viet Nam.

Under the conductor Paavo Jarvi, more than 30 artists will play Joseph Haydn's Symphony No 83, Edvard Grieg's Hoberg Suite, Op 40, Gabriel Faure's Fantaisie for Flute and Chamber Orchestra, Op 79, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Symphony No 33.

The Paris Orchestra will perform at the Ha Noi Opera House on October 29 and the HCM City Opera and Ballet Theatre on October 30 at 8pm.

Lauded by critics as one of France's finest orchestras, Orchestre de Paris has wowed audiences in New York, London, Vienna, Berlin, Amsterdam, the Scandinavian countries, and Russia, as well as audiences in China, Japan, and Korea. — VNS
