Kinh girl crowned Miss Viet Nam Pageant

HOI AN (VNS)— The crown for the Miss Viet Nam Pageant 2013 has been won by Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh from the Kinh people.

Anh was declared winner of the contest last night at the Hoi An Theatre in central Quang Nam Province.

Anh, a student from Thanh Hoa, beat 62 contestants from 20 ethnic groups across the nation to win the title. She is 1.69m tall, weighs 51kg and measures 84-60-89.

The first runner-up was Lo Thi Minh from the Xinh Mun ethnic group living primarily in Son La and Lai Chau in north-western of Viet Nam.

Second runner-up went to another Kinh contestant, Nguyen Thi Loan.

The contest also awarded titles for Miss Popularity, Quang Nam Beauty Queen, Miss Tourism, Miss Talent, Miss Beach, Miss Photogenic and Best Ethnic Costume.

The third Miss Viet Nam Pageant 2013's final night was held to wrap up the fifth Quang Nam Heritage Festival. – VNS
