HCM CITY (VNS)— Two Australians are visiting HCM City this week as part of the Aust-Viet Junior Chef Challenge, a competition run by the Australian Consulate General in HCM City to encourage Vietnamese kids aged 10-12 years to develop their cooking skills.
During the Challenge, Vietnamese dishes will be prepared with premium Australian beef and lamb.
One of the chefs, Nhut Huynh, has built an exciting and rewarding career in Australia as a well-known chef, restaurateur, TV presenter and author.
The other chef, Barry Lloyd, is a qualified Master Butcher who has worked in the Australian meat industry for over 35 years.
The chefs will also meet with trainee chefs from KOTO, a local charity providing hospitality skill training for disadvantaged youth.
Nhut will be conducting cooking demonstrations for the public at noon and 12.30pm on June 18 and 21 at Kumho Link at Kumho Asiana Plaza on 39 Le Duan Street in District 1.-VNS
