Update: May, 03/2013 - 10:33

HA NOI(VNS) – Performers from the HCM City Circus Troupe will tour Kazakhstan from today to June 5, according to Ho Van Thanh, head of the troupe.

About 30 performers from the troupe will put on a show in four cities across Kazakhstan.

The tour marks the first time the troupe will perform in Kazakhstan after shows in France, China and Chinese Taipei. Thanh said troupe's members feel proud and happy to perform in Kazakhstan, a country with a long tradition of circuses.

The Vietnamese performers will dazzle audiences with magic, acrobatics and juggling. Highlights of the show will include Hoang An and Thu Hiep performing the du chong dau (flying trapeze act), which brought them several medals at international circus festivals in Spain, Russia and Kazakhstan.

"The last performance by An and Hiep in Kazakhstan was so successful and impressive that the Kazakhstan Circus Federation invited us to perform in their country again," Thanh said. — VNS
