A full line up of local and guest artists will gather to perform at the biggest reggae party of the year at the Hanoi Rock City on Saturday, April 20.
Coined around 1960 in Jamaica, the word "reggae" was to identify a "ragged" style of dance music. However, reggae soon acquired the lament-like style of chanting and emphasised the syncopated beat.
Reggae music was internationally popularised during the 1960s and 70s by Bob Marley, a Jamaican singer-songwriter and musician, who remains the most widely known and the best-selling performer of reggae music, having sold more than 75 million albums worldwide.
The party will start from 7pm onwards at 27/52 To Ngoc Van Street, Tay Ho District. Tickets cost VND50,000 on the door.-VNS
