HCM CITY(VNS) — Viet Nam's first Beach Queen will be crowned at a beauty pageant in the coastal city of Nha Trang in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa.
All Vietnamese girls aged from 18 to 26 who have graduated from high school are eligible. Other requirements include a minimum height of 1.62m and no previous surgeries. Contestants must also be single with no children.
The Queen will receive a cash prize of VND150 million (US$1,500) and the use of a five-star apartment in the Havana Building in Nha Trang City for two years. She will also be nominated for the Viet Nam Tourism Ambassador title.
Winners will donate 20 per cent of the total cash prize to the Truong Sa (Spratly Islands) Building Fund. The contest will be held biennially. — VNS
