Update: December, 08/2012 - 08:43

HCM CITY (VNS)— The third edition of Hat lua que toi (The Rice of My Homeland) festival will be celebrated at the Binh Quoi Tourist Park in Binh Thanh District next weekend.

Starting next Friday, the three-day festival is a chance for visitors to explore the cultural and culinary heritage of Viet Nam's rural areas.

The event will introduce "rural" food and drinks made of rice grain from all over the country.

Visitors can also see various agricultural implements used by farmers in different regions.

Typical daily activities of farming households will also be demonstrated at the festival, organisers said.

The festival, open from 5-9pm, will also feature folk games, traditional art performances and traditional craftsmanship featuring the meticulous work done to make hand-made products and hand-made folk toys. — VNS
