HCM CITY (VNS)— The annual Taste of the World Culinary Festival opens at the September 23rd Park in HCM City next Wednesday, with 47 city restaurants offering 19 different cuisines taking part.
Organised by the city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the HCM City Tourism Association, the five-day festival will have 88 pavilions serving foods from India, Thailand, Japan, China, France, Italy, Mexico, and other countries.
At a press briefing on Tuesday, La Quoc Khanh, deputy director of the department, said a delegation from the World Food Culture Center in South Korea will also have a stall at the festival.
One of the highlights of the event will be the five-star executive chefs festival in which the city's 11 five-star hotels will take part.
Visitors will have the chance to enjoy the cooking skills of famous TV chef Martin Yan.
There will be other events like a wrap-and-roll dishes festival, bartending performance, Muay Thai demonstration, dance sport, and music shows.-VNS
