THỪA THIÊN HUẾ — Bridgestone Vietnam has transferred 15 smart and eco-friendly trash bins to Thừa Thiên-Huế Province to promote environmental protection in the area.

This is a continuation of similar projects that the company has been implementing in HCM City and Đà Nẵng as part of a campaign to "Keep the country clean and green for a better life."

Hiroyuki Saito, General Director of Bridgestone Vietnam, said his company saw its initiative as part of a long-term plan to help people and provincial authorities preserve the beauty of Huế City by coming up with more environmental technology initiatives.

"We want to raise local people’s awareness, specially domestic and foreign tourists, about environment protection," he said.

The smart trash bins will be installed in the Huế Citadel area, and in some other locations on the city’s main roads for daily use by locals and visitors.

Thừa Thiên-Huế is well known as one of the most attractive tourism destinations in Việt Nam for both local and foreign tourists. It has been recognised for a new brand “1 destination 5 heritages.” — VNS
