HAI PHONG — A forest fire broke out on Monday in Thuỷ Nguyên District’s Một Mountain in Hải Phòng Province, burning down at least three hectares of eucalyptus trees.

The fire started around 2pm and took around an hour to put out, but more than three hectares of forest vegetation was totally damaged within that time.

The district’s forest rangers said that there are many graves on the mountain and that the fire may have been caused by people who visit on Tết and burn incense, fake banknotes and paper clothes at the graveside of their loved ones. — VNS
