Intel unveils latest Windows 8, Android chip in VN

HCM CITY  (VNS) — Intel Corporation introduced its latest Atom™ Z3000 Series of low-power systems-on-a-chip (SoC) in HCM City this week

Codenamed Bay Trail, the chip is the company's first multi-core SoC and is designed to support Windows 8 and Android operating systems on mobile devices, including tablets.

It also included McAfee DeepSafe, a jointly developed technology from McAfee and Intel to protect users from attacks and safely store data. At the moment, only the Transformerbook T100 from Asus, a convertible notebook tablet using the Bay Trail chip, is available in Viet Nam.— VNS
