Ha Noi - Vinamilk, the biggest dairy company in Viet Nam, will put three new factories into operation later this year, bringing its total number of facilities to 13, according to the Viet Nam News Agency.
The VND4,500 billion (US$ 215 million) factories will be equipped with advanced technology to yield world-class dairy products.
One of the new facilities in southern Binh Duong Province will be robotically operated at a production capacity of 400 million litters of fresh milk per year, equivalent to the combined output of Vinamilk's nine current factories.
The second new factory, built in the same region, will specialize in Dielac 2 children's powder milk at a volume of 54,000 tonnes per year.
The third factory in Da Nang City will turn out its first fresh milk and yogurt products in June.
In addition, Vinamilk has made dramatic investments in cow farming, seeking opportunities to develop more farms domestically and internationally. -- VNS
