HÀ NỘI — PetroVietnam Construction Corporation (PVC) on Monday officially appointed Lương Đình Thành as the new general director of the firm.

Prior to his appointment, Thành was member of the board of directors – director of PetroVietnam Construction Land Corp (PVC Land), a subsidiary of PVC.

Thành was voted by more than 90 per cent of key officials at the Corporation.

Speaking at the appointment ceremony, Thành pledged to make efforts to stabilise the PVC situation, seeking opportunities to revive the corporation's business operations.

The appointment of the new general director at this time not only strengthened the PVC operating apparatus but also helped unite the strength and determination of PVC workers to help Thái Bình 2 Thermal Power Plant meet its goals.

PVC will continue the task of restructuring to operate effectively, said Phạm Xuân Cảnh, vice secretary of the Standing Party Committee, member of the Council of Members of PetroVietnam. — VNS
