HÀ NỘI — The OTA Network, a network of game content creators, and Facebook Gaming organised a Facebook community event recently in Hà Nội, attracting nearly 200 of the hottest names in the gaming streamer and creator community in Việt Nam.

The event attracted the likes of Viruss, TrâuTV and Quang Cuốn. Streamers at the event had opportunities to discuss with new features and policies for the Vietnamese market with senior representatives of Facebook Gaming.

A global representative of Facebook Gaming shared at the event that livestreaming and watching other people playing games was a phenomenon that has exploded worldwide.

Trần Quốc Toản, representative from the OTA Network, the unit implementing the Facebook Gaming programme in Việt Nam, said the country was leading Southeast Asia in terms of the number of fans of e-sports with 15 million people last year and was expected to reach 26 million fans by the end of this year.

This year would be a challenging year, full of opportunities for Facebook Gaming in Việt Nam, said Toản.

“A series of community activities and contests will be organised and our team will be here to listen to you,” he added. — VNS
