HCM CITY — Budget airline AirAsia will begin operating daily direct flights between Nha Trang and the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur on September 14.

Promotional fares from VNĐ790,000 (US$35) one-way are available from July 4 to 9 for travel until August 28 next year.

Spencer Lee, head of commercial for AirAsia Berhad, said: “This year is all about driving the Asean vision forward with the year-long Visit Asean@50 initiative.

“As the only airline flying directly into Nha Trang from Malaysia, this route introduction not only opens up air travel into the city but it also gives people from Khánh Hòa Province access to over 120 AirAsia destinations around Asia.”

Fourteen connecting routes will be accessible with this launch, with baggage checked through to the final destination.

With this Fly-Thru service, people can now travel from Nha Trang to cities in Asia and Australia.

Since starting operations in 2001, AirAsia has carried more than 400 million guests and expanded its fleet from just two aircraft to over 200 now. — VNS
