Foreign investors net sell in Vietnamese market, banking sector attracts interest

HÀ NỘI — A new co-working space for freelancers, start-ups and foreigners living and working in Việt Nam was opened in Hà Nội yesterday.
The Vuon – Luxury Garden Office, located on D2 Building on Giảng Võ Street, covers an area of 1,300 square metre and has a total investment fund of up to VNĐ120 billion (US$5.3 million).
The Vuon is the first place in Việt Nam to give nearly 100 per cent of its support to innovative start-up activities in the country by appealing investment funds and supporting with places for events for Vietnamese start-ups.
A club of more than 100 angel investors committed to invest up to $500 million for projects at The Vuon.
In addition, there is also a place for Vietnam Agency Group meetings, an alliance of 108 agencies in the field of communications and marketing in the north of Việt Nam. The agencies will support potential projects.
The Vuon expects to organise about 300 conferences and events annually to consult and orient start-up projects, said a representative at its opening ceremony. — VNS
