HÀ NỘI – Certification for fisheries exports to Korea and China will be expanded nationwide starting next month under the National Single Window (NSW), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said.

Issuance of export certificates for fisheries products has been under pilot implementation since May 16 for several companies exporting to Korea and China in the National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department’s (Nafidad) branches 4, 5 and 6.

This is one of the efforts by the Nafidad to improve one-stop access to the ministry’s services.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on July 18 issued Document 6057/BNN-TCCB on the implementation of the national single window at the ministry which targeted that nine administrative procedures will be conducted via the one-stop system by as early as October 1. No paper documents will be accepted after September.

Under the new initiative, Nafidad will coordinate with the General Department of Customs and Viettel ICT to provide training to staff and firms.

Firms said the one-stop procedures are more convenient now, compared to the  pilot phase. But upgrades are still needed.

The ministry plans to connect four more administrative procedures to the national single window by the end of the year.

During 2016-20, the ministry plans to implement 30 procedures on the national single window system.

So far, the ministry’s national single window system has received 25,513 files, more than 77 per cent of which were handled as of August 31.

To date 33 administrative procedures of nine ministries were conducted via the national single window system, the General Department of Customs said. - VNS
