HA NOI (VNS) — Viettel Telecom, a member company of the Viettel Group, has launched an over-the-top (OTT) service that provides free Internet-based calls and messaging for users.
The service, named Mocha Messenger, has been developed and used on an experiment basis since December. It now has 30,000 users and Viettel expects this to rise to a one million this year.
Besides basic functions such as text messages, group chat, voice calls and photos, the service allows users to listen to music together on the social networking site integrated in the application.
Viettel offers free 3G data to users accessing the site for two months after the installation of the app, which is available on Google Play and App Store. — VNS
