S.Korean hypermarket moves into HCM City

HCM CITY (VNS) — Leading South Korean retailer Emart yesterday unveiled plans to open its first hypermarket in HCM City's Go Vap District, one of the most populous areas in the city. Total investment capital will be US$60 million.

Choi Kwang Ho, general director of Emart Viet Nam, said Emart would co-operate with about 1,000 local suppliers for the first hypermarket.

The hypermarket, covering an area of 30,000sq.m, will include direct sale areas of 6,000sq.m, and entertainment areas with a restaurant, play room and game room. — VNS
