HA NOI (VNS)  — Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for over 95 per cent of businesses in Ha Noi and provide most jobs in the city, said Mac Quoc Anh, vice chairman and general secretary of the Ha Noi Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Association.

Speaking at the 2014 Business Night in Ha Noi on Thursday, Anh also said entrepreneurs were responsible for producing more than 38.9 per cent of the city's gross domestic product (GDP), adding that SMEs were instrumental to meeting the challenges posed by regional and global integration.

On the occasion, municipal leaders granted Labour Medals and certificates of merit on behalf of the Prime Minister to individuals and collectives in Ha Noi for their outstanding achievements in business and social activities. — VNS
