The decision No 66/2014/QD-TTg will take effect from January 15, 2015.

Of the 172 sectors, the 58 sectors prioritised for investment include integrated circuit design and manufacturing, virtualisation and cloud computing, as well as artificial intelligence, aerospace and nanotechnology, besides robot design and programming.

The 114 sectors prioritised for development include operating systems for computers and mobile phones; database management system and radio frequency identification (RFID) card and RFID reader, as well as voltage transformers of more than 500kV and laser distance meter.

The new order will replace decision No 49/2010/QD-TTg, issued on July 19, 2010.
