TPP chief negotiators to meet in Viet Nam

HA NOI (VNS) — The chief negotiators of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) countries will hold their next meeting in Ha Noi from September 1 to 10.

The Vietnamese delegation will be led by the Head of Government's Negotiation Delegation on international trade and economic issues, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Quoc Khanh.

Attending the meeting will be more than 400 representatives from 12 TPP countries, including Viet Nam, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and the US. Statistics show that 12 TPP countries will form a large market, accounting for nearly 40 per cent of the GDP and about one-third of trade globally. — VNS
