HA NOI  (VNS) — The number of tourists from Chinese-speaking countries and territories continued to fall, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

More than 123,000 Chinese tourists came in July, a decrease of 28.8 per cent compared to the same period last year. Tourist arrivals from Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore also declined by 15.7 per cent, 36.2 per cent and 8.6 per cent respectively. Tu Quy Thanh, director of Lien Bang Travelink Company, told the Saigon Times that the number of Vietnamese tourists to China also fell sharply. — VNS
