Trade with India topped $5.23b in 2013

HA NOI (VNS)— Last year, bilateral trade between Viet Nam and India jumped 33 per cent to over US$5.23 billion, according to the General Department of Customs' statistics.

Viet Nam's exports to India contributed $2.35 billion, up 32 per cent, to the total trade figure, while its imports accounted for $2.83 billion, up 33.5 per cent.

Viet Nam's top export items to India were mobile phones and components ($926 million), machinery ($242 million), computers and computer parts ($231 million), rubber ($211 million) and chemicals ($61 million).— VNS
