PARIS (VNS)— Vietnamese businesses are participating at the ongoing 109th Paris Fair 2013 (Foire de Paris 2013), which is being held in the French capital from April 30 to May 12.
With around 50 stalls covering an area of 630 square metres, the Vietnamese businesses, mostly small- and medium-sized or family-owned enterprises, are displaying traditional handicrafts and fine art items such as brocade, jewellery, lacquer, silk, and ao dai (traditional dress).
Guersende Rouby, the fair's trade manager, valued the Vietnamese businesses' participation at the fair, saying the Vietnamese products were impressive, diversified and eye-catching.
Representatives of the management board and the Vietnamese Embassy in France also held talks about how to help Vietnamese businesses participate at the next fair in 2014, when the two countries will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
The Paris Fair is one of the largest in Europe, with 3,400 stalls covering an area of 220,000 square metres.-VNS
