HA NOI (VNS)-- The Consultative Group for Viet Nam will hold its annual meeting, themed Laying the Foundation for Sustainable Growth, on December 10 in Ha Noi, according to a press release from the World Bank in Viet Nam.
Topics for discussions will include efficiency and competitiveness, and macroeconomic performance in 2012 and priorities for 2013.
Education and skills for a successful middle-income country will be another topic, as well as revision of land policy for inclusive and sustainable growth.
A new platform for high-level policy dialogue, as well as reports on Viet Nam business forum, anti-corruption and aid effectiveness will be on the agenda.
Ahead of the CG meeting, a separate Viet Nam Business Forum, a dialogue between the Vietnamese Government and the business community, will be held on December 3 in Ha Noi with the theme Restoring Economic Dynamism.
This year's forum will be dedicated to the topics of investment climate perception presented by local and foreign business associations; the economy in 2012 and the development plan for 2013; banking and capital markets; investment and trade; taxes; infrastructure and ports; and the automotive and tourism industries.
The CG for Viet Nam consists of representatives from the Government of Viet Nam, bilateral and multilateral donors, and non – governmental organisations.--VNS
