HA NOI - (VNS) As many as 200 enterprises from 22 different countries and territories are attending Elenex Viet Nam 2012, the fourth biennial International Power Generation and Renewable Energy Technologies Exhibition, which opened today in HCM City.
Enterprises from Germany, Belgium, China, Korea, Taiwan, among others, are promoting electrical generators, energy efficiency renewable products, stand-by power solutions and electrical monitoring devices. The 6,500 sq. metre exhibition also features forums on energy and property management.
The opening day of the three-day fair, co-hosted by Viet Nam's Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Exhibition Service (VietCham Expo) and Hong Kong Exhibition Services, attracted thousands of visitors.
According to Bui Thuc Anh, director of VietCham Expo, products introduced at the event will greatly support the development of Viet Nam's electrical industry, which is calling for improvement in electrical management and maintenance, as well as to reduce dependence on depleting fossil fuels and avoid worsening current pollution levels in the country. - VNS
