Tighter rules on performance of securities companies

Update: September, 06/2012 - 10:25

HA NOI — Tighter regulations will be imposed on the management of securities companies as part of a crackdown by the State Securities Commission (SSC).

Under the new regulations, taken from the second draft of Circular 226/2010, companies will be suspended if they cannot fix management shortcomings such as making unsustainable losses or defaulting on debts.

In addition, an offending company's membership to stock exchanges and Viet Nam Securities Depository will also be temporarily terminated until their operation is given SSC approval.-VNS
