Petrol import tariffs rise from 7 to 10 per cent

HA NOI — The Ministry of Finance (MoF) yesterday decided to hike import tariffs on petrol products from the current 7 per cent to 10 per cent.

A new circular issued by MoF yesterday also stipulated that import taxes on diesel fuel for cars will increase from 6 per cent to 8 per cent and other fuel will rise to 10 per cent. This is the fourth time the ministry has revised the petrol import tax since the beginning of this year. Earlier on June 8, import taxes levied on various kinds of gasoline were raised by 3 per cent. — VNS
