HA NOI – HCM City International Furniture and Handicrafts Fair (HCM City Expo 2012) was kicked off yesterday in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh by the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC).
Entitled "Vietnamese products: More choices – Stronger Trust," the fair aims to enhance business partnerships and strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
The fair, which is divided into three main sections for meetings, commodities and services, has attracted more than 150 Vietnamese enterprises and 250 booths featuring various commodities and services such as processed food, interior decorations, garments, cosmetics, advertising, construction design, software, and others.
Speaking at the event, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Men Som Ol stressed that the fair provided a good opportunity for Cambodian consumers and businesses to gain valuable experience and seek new partners.
She added that with the aim of economic development and global integration, Cambodia would create the best possible conditions to attract foreign investment, especially regional investment from countries such as Viet Nam.
The fair will also feature programmes on market research and trade promotion, cultural exchange performances at night and gifts for the poor on the occasion of the upcoming Chaul Chnam Thmey (New Year Festival).
