HA NOI — Leading Thai canned fish producer Royal Foods Company has planned to invest in another factory worth 600 million baht (US$19.3 million) in Viet Nam.
This second factory would be located in Vinh City, central Nghe An Province, with a production capacity of 100 tonnes of canned sardine and mackerel per day, said Mongkol Banthrarungroj, Vice President and CEO of Thai Corp International, Royal Foods' partner in Viet Nam.
It is expected to begin construction this August and become operational by the end of next year.
Royal Foods built its first canned fish processing factory in the southern province of Tien Giang in 2007. — VNS
