The Việt Nam Railway Corporation has resumed north-south train services that were cut off due to the recent collapse of the Ghềnh Bridge.

From yesterday passengers departing Sài Gòn Railway Station travel up to Sóng Thần station in Bình Dương Province, get off and take a bus to Biên Hoà station and again board a train to travel onward to central and northern destinations.

Earlier they had to spend over an hour to travel by bus from Sài Gòn to Biên Hoà.
