City to help taxpayers with payments

The HCM City Tax Department will offer assistance to taxpayers at the department and its offices in 24 districts from March 21 to April 1.

The department will arrange staff to assist residents in checking required documents and give them instructions in how to make payments.

The Bank for Foreign Trade of Việt Nam (Vietcombank) will set up tax collection points at the department to facilitate payments for both cash and bank cards.

Cần Thơ receives huge FDI project

The head of the management board of Cần Thơ Industrial Park and Export Processing Zone, Võ Thanh Hùng, said that the agency licensed an investment certificate for Taekwang Industrial Co., Ltd, the Korean investor, to Hưng Phú 2B Industrial Park in Cái Răng District with registered capital of US$171 million on Tuesday.

Taekwang Industrial Co., Ltd will conduct investment projects, and build infrastructure for industrial parks and sport shoe factories. It covers an area of 62 hectares.

$6mil electronics factory opens in Hải Phòng

The US$6 million electronics factory of the Japanese Meiko Industrial Co., Ltd opened yesterday at Tràng Duệ Industrial Park in Cát Hải District in the northern city of Hải Phòng.

With a total area of ​​5,777 sq.m, the factory is expected to have annual capacity of 600 tons of plastic spare parts, 30 tonnes of steel mould, and 15,000 items of electronic spare parts.
