A new project on supplying clean water for the remote district of Ly Son in Quang Ngai Province has been approved by the Prime Minister, according to the Quang Ngai Province People's Committee. The project worth $12 million, including $10.8 million from the Official Development Assistance (ODA) source funded by Korea, would supply clean water for residents living in poor communes of An Vinh and An Hai. Funds will be used to improve and build water works and systems.

Charity for children with cancer launched
The charity "All for Children Suffering from Cancer", organised by the Viet Nam Young People's Association in HCM City in co-operation with its partners, was launched in HCM City and Ha Noi last weekend.
The event featured cultural and charity activities that aim to encourage organisations and individuals, particularly youth, to pay more attention to children with cancer. Many art programmes attracted several hundred young people from universities and colleges.
The organisers presented gifts and scholarships, donated by benefactors across the country, to more than 900 children who are being treated at cancer hospitals in HCM City, Ha Noi, Hue and Da Nang.
