The central town of Hoi An is seeking investment in nighttime entertainment after an earlier proposal failed to find investors for 10 years.
It has earmarked a 170ha area for the purpose.
But despite seeking investment in entertainment at night to meet tourists' demand, authorities order bars to close before midnight to retain the old town's value.
