HCM City issues education action plan

HCM City's People's Committee has targeted that by 2020 all schools will reach national standards on infrastructure, according to a newly approved action plan.

The city aims to have 300 classrooms for each of 10,000 people aged three to 18.

In the 2015-16 school year, it targets having kindergarten classes for children aged six to 18 months in 12 districts. Under the plan, 50 per cent of children from age six will be studying English.

Promotion fairs in HCM City

Nearly 200 companies have joined a promotion fair organised at the Tan Binh Exhibition and Fair Centre in HCM City.

At 250 booths, companies will sell many products including garments, food, handicrafts and cosmetics.

This is the annual programme orgnised by Tan Binh District during the month of promotions, in which companies offer customers high-quality products at a good price. The fair will close on Tuesday.
